31 August Rain in Karachi.

Over 5500 personnel including 1500 city wardens performed duties in helping the citizens and traffic control during Monday’s heavy rainfall. Heavy downpour played havoc with low lying areas of the city on Monday afternoon as rain water entered many houses in Korgani, Landhi, PECHS.
Jail authorities said that rain water has also entered Central Prison and affected its several barracks.
Sharea-Faisal was inundated by rain water at several places causing serious traffic jams starting from old Metropole Hotel toDrigh Road.
Similarly, Korangi Road was closed after flooding in Malir River near Kashmir Colony.
Several persons were injured as roof of a house collapsed in Bhitai Abad near Korangi Crossing.
A Met official said that Landhi observatory had recorded 130 millimeters of rain till 7.30 p.m., while Gulshan-e-Hadeed
received 75 m.m., Karachi Airport 69.2 m.m., Faisal Base 60 m.m., and North Karachi 13.5 m.m.
He said that rain will continue in the city during next 24 hours.

    nevertheless thanks a lot to the sender who sent the pics of M.A. Jinnah road b/c nobody does. its either N.N, SF or Gulshan; u r the only one publishing the pics of M.A.Jinnah Rd. Thanks a million times. i’ll regularly go through them.
