Ufone Thursday formally launched country’s largest Contact Center with state-of-the-art equipment, latest technology and trained staff to ensure prompt redressal of the complaints and queries of its subscribers across country.
Briefing the media on the Ufone center established in capital city’s industrial area, Chief Officer, Customer Operations Naveed Khalid Butt said the center was established with US$ 3 million.
“This center launched its operations back in January this year. However, this is formal launch as it has been upgraded and has a capacity of 350 agents and 450 supporting staff who work 24 hours, seven days a week,” he said and added that by March next, the center would have the capacity of 900 agents and 750 supporting staff who would work round-the-clock to facilitate the valued customers of Ufone.
He said Ufone had 19 million subscribers and with the establishment of the contact center which has connected all the six call centers of the company, now not even a single call is rejected.
“Yes, there were genuine complaints about the rejection of calls made to the call centers. However, now not a single call is rejected as even if any center is chocked across country, the state-of-the-art equipment immediately shifts the calls to the main center established at Islamabad and the callers do not have to bother,” he said while replying to a question.
He said the center had made the company proud as now not a single caller was disappointed in the northern region of the country.
Butt informed Ufone call centers receive 307,913 calls per anum while an agent on average receives around 80,000 calls annually which was a gigantic task.
“Look, Service First is our motto under which our esteemed team of experts and agents offer services round-the-clock to our valued customers. These youngsters deputed at these call centers are contributing tremendously towards the nation as it is quite amazing to offer interrupted services to millions of people with a refreshing tone and aptitude round-the-clock,” he added.
Chief Marketing Officer, Ufone, Asher Yaqub Khan, Head of Public Relations Moazzam Ali Khan and Manager Contact Centre Azhar Abbas were also present on the occasion.
