A delegation of the All Pakistan Franchises Association (APFA) called on Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Islamabad Chapter, Munawar Mughal, here Friday.
The delegation was led by the President of Islamabad Mobile Association, Waseem Chaudhry and apprised FPCCI president about the obstacles faced by the cell phone traders.
Munawar Mughal said that PTA has introduced a system to block the illegal sims which has brought down street crime ratio.
After launch of this system, he said, about one million Chinese cell phones have been blocked harming the mobile phone business in the country.
He urged the authorities to unblock the Chinese sets and develop future planing to stop illicit sale of mobile sims.
President Mobile Phones Association Waseem Chaudhry said that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has blocked about one million sims which put negative affect on the sale as well as decreasing the government revenue.
