Chancellor Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) Z.A. Nizami has said that very focus of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA) has remained on promotion of education in Pakistan and keeping the spirit of Aligarh Movement alive.
He was speaking as chief guest at the conclusion of annual Electronic and Information Technology Exhibition of Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT).
He said there is no differentiation between Aligarh Institute of Technology and Sir Syed University as these institutions of technology have had their identity recognised both at home and abroad.
Speaking on the occasion acting Vice-Chancellor and Honoary General Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA), Engr Zakir Ali Khan told the students that practically they are the owners of these two institutions and would carry forward the mission of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in their future.
He called upon them to commit themselves for the progress and advancement of these two institutions which are not the property of any association or individual.
On the occasion Mr Nizami, Engr Zakir, Prof Saeed Siddiqi, Chairman Sindh Technical Board besides Engr Mohammed Adil Usman and senior Aligarhians presented awards to students whose projects won first three top positions.
Earlier Mr Nizami went round the stalls and witnessed some 150 projects produced by AIT students and appreciated their creative talents.
