Pakistan has been declared as one of the top countries in Information Technology industry and this became possible due to government’s long term policies, specially in IT sector.
In a press release Gartner, the world’s leading IT research and advisory company said that Pakistan has been numbered amongst the top countries of the world in terms of suitability for offshore outsourcing.
Although in 2006 Pakistan was placed in third category countries by the global community as “Market Leaders and Challengers” but in 2007 due to government’s continuous efforts and long standing policies, the country has been placed in first category.
In a report titled as Analysis of Pakistan as an Offshore Service Location, Gartner said that the phenomena behind the progressing status of Pakistan in IT sector is the lower cost of salaries and better infrastructure advantages available.
