Meezan Bank launches SMS Alert Service

Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s largest Islamic Bank has launched SMS Alert Service for all its customers nationwide.     An announcement here on Thursday said that with SMS Alert service customers of the Bank will be informed of multiple account transaction(s) on their mobile phones within minutes.
It said that the Meezan Bank customers once signed up with this service would receive an instant SMS alert from Meezan Bank on their respective mobile phones on any of the following transactions that occur on the customers’ current or savings accounts.
Transactions include debit transaction when an amount is deducted from customers’ current or savings account(s), credit transaction when an amount is deposited to customers’ current or savings account(s), low balance when the balance in customers’ account(s) falls below a threshold amount (specified by the customers beforehand) and Cheque bounce whenever the customers’ issued or deposited Cheque gets dishonored due to any reason.
The essence of this service is to provide added convenience and security to all Meezan Bank customers and would be helpful in assisting them for monitoring day-to-day account activity.
Meezan Bank has a wide range of products and services providing one stop shop for all Riba-free banking needs. The Bank is always looking to provide customer convenience by offering innovative and value-added products and services.
The launch of the Meezan SMS Alert service is continuation of its commitment to provide its customers with best possible services combined with latest advancements.
Meezan Bank presently has 102 branches in 31 cities across Pakistan All branches are ‘on-line’ and are supported by state of the art 24/7 Banking services to all its customers, which includes 90 ATMs, Internet Banking and a Call Center that operates 24 hours a day seven days a week.
