Reputed journal, Foreign Policy in its report has declared Karachi Nazim, Syed Mustafa Kamal the second best mayor of the year 2008 world. Foreign Policy report titled `The Mayor of the moment’ said that Germany’s Berlin City Mayor, Klaus Wowereit, 55 topped the list among the best mayors of the world for the current year and Karachi Nazim, Syed Mustafa Kamal , 36 placed second on the basis of his last three years’ performance, private news channel reported.

Global Cities Index named this survey has assessed the performance of the mayors of world’s major cities giving special importance to creating better opportunity for investment in the city and city planning.     The journal eulogizing Karachi Nazim for his hard work declared him the symbol of making a difference in the city and innovation in city planning.     Karachi Nazim is playing a key-role in strengthening the international ties, promoting foreign investment and tourism, said
the report.     It further said that Nazim Mustafa Kamal has changed the outlook of the city in a short time and his slogan that Karachi is going to emerge as another Dubai in the region declared most admired.
