The 3rd Information & Communications Technology Exhibition CONNECT 2008 concluded at Expo Centre here Saturday.
Chairman Higher Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Atta ur Rahman visited CONNECT 2008 on third and last day. He visited the stalls and met exhibitors. Prof. Atta ur Rahman also appreciated the efforts of the organizers for holding this exhibition.

A technical session was organised by FIA - National Response Centre for Cyber Crimes on the second day of the exhibition. Director FIA Ammar Jaffri spoke about the various threats and issues facing banking industry and how to combat on them. He also shared NR3C’s road map for banking industry.

Jaffri also stressed on the level of support required from the Chief Information Officers (CIOs) of all the banks, for (NR3C) FIA to better serve the industry. He identified Internet as a billion dollar industry and assured that FIA is ready to meet the challenges faced by this industry in order to provide a secure internet and business environment.
A technology product “VIKUITI”, privacy filter by 3M was also aunch at the exhibitors. The fourth edition of “CONNECT” has been scheduled from 14 - 16 May 2009 and will feature an even larger array of information and communication technology products.
