Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has cautioned that citizens would not be wholly benefited from ongoing development activity if immediate attention was not paid to providing housing facilities.
Therefore, vacant land should be brought under use to promote better housing schemes and it was the reason that the present government revived housing schemes lying in abeyance through rapid development so that public confidence is restored. “City government has allotted 1.25 lac plots in Taisar and Malir Housing schemes where work on infrastructure development is fast underway”.

He was addressing a ceremony after inaugurating HBFC’s newly launched Mobile Van Office Facility here Thursday. He said the projects conceived 30 years back suffered from delays and other crisis situation. However, these were revived with proper planning and by spending huge money.

The Nazim referred to large scale migration of people from rural o urban areas and said low cost housing schemes were need of the our. He pointed out that the City Government alone cannot do it and ooperation from federal government, financial institutions and private sector is also needed.
He termed the launching of HBFC’s mobile van office facility as a easure towards improvement and hoped that other financial nstitutions would also begin such projects.
He informed that all record pertaining to land and revenue epartments was being computerised and linked with the financial nstitutions including HBFC to ward off chances of forgery and fraud n the documentation of property.
Earlier, CEO HBFC Zaigham Mehmood Rizvi while addressing the eremony said City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal was working with reat enthusiasm and he must be congratulated for unprecedented development works in the city.
“All of us should work in collaboration with him to provide etter housing facilities to citizens and the launching of mobile van office was part of this endeavour so that people of distant areas would also be provided with complete facilities.
