Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal has called for designing and master planning  of entire area of Hawksbay Scheme-42 through some noted company.
“Hawksbay is the only coastal area of Pakistan and, therefore, it needs to be beautified - whether it was residential or commercial area”, he said while addressing the Governing Body of Lyari Development Authority here Tuesday.
The meeting was also attended by DCO Karachi Javed Hanif and other GB members.
The meeting was informed that 45,380 plots have been allotted in Hawksbay Scheme-42 where development works are fast progressing at a cost of Rs 2300 million.
It was informed that in certain sectors, LDA is in a position of handing over the possession of plots to allottees.

Addressing the meeting Mustafa Kamal said that city government is aking various steps to make Hawksbay a model area. He said two 250 gd treatment plants are being installed in Hawksbay from where the area will be supplied line water.

He informed about construction of a bridge at Habib Bank Chowrangiand said work will start soon and after its completion, the distance between Hawksbay and airport will considerably reduced through signal-free Corridor-I.
He said work on shifting of godowns at Mauripur Truck stand and Hawksbay road to Northern bypass is to start soon for which planning has been completed.
Mustafa Kamal directed EDO Master Plan to provide all help to LDA in this regard and a master plan of the area be got prepared through some noted company.
He ordered geared up work on development works and said the city Government has already started speedy development schemes for providing basic infrastructure and all basic facilities.
City Nazim stated that in order to provide quality but low cost housing facilities, the city government has revived housing schemes lying in abeyance for the last 30 years.
